"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me”. -II Cor. 12:9
What weaknesses are you dealing with?
A weak marriage that desperately needs a new touch?
A weak body that will not cooperate to your brains commands?
A weak mind that needs to think clearly to make important life changing decisions?
Weak muscles that will not hold up to the weariness and tiredness of the day?
Weak emotions that need to be healed from grief, sorrow, heartache and trauma?
Paul, the author of the quote above, boasts in his weaknesses because he knows
That when he is weak the power of Jesus Christ rests on him and strengthens him.
It is true! When we believe in Jesus, then all our weaknesses we can boast about
because we can rest assured that the power of Christ rests on us.
Power to overcome,
Power to endure…with joy
Power to rejoice in the midst of it
Power with strength to get through it
Power to boast in our weakness
In the same like manner this is what happened to Jesus.
“For He was crucified in weakness, but lives by the power of God. For we also are weak in him,
but in dealing with you we will live with him by the power of God”. II Cor. 13:4
In our weakness His strength is made perfect.
When we yield to the Lord for our direction, our focus, our life and as our Lord we will see that it is His power, not our own, that gets us through the struggles and trials
here on planet earth.
Crucify your flesh in exchange for the power of God!
Would you embrace all your weaknesses by yielding to God’s power?
Submit to Him and his plan
Then bow your knee in humility acknowledging Him as Lord.
See the wonderful grace given, and
Rejoice greatly with a loud voice declaring that Jesus truly is the King of kings and Lord of lords
and because you have rested in His power,
You will be ok in your circumstances and situations because your trust is in Him.
